Crooked is an infected dressed in a torn black shirt, a bulletproof suit, black pants, and the severely damaged remains of a black prison guard's helmet with a broken clear visor.

Overview

Crooked is a regular enemy. It possesses resistance to bullet damage, along with some resistance to knockback. As a whole, this zombie is identical to Builder.

Strategy

Since Crooked is effectively identical to Builder, strategies that work against that zombie will also apply to Crooked. That said, it's unlikely that this zombie will require any special attention, as it doesn't have any truly dangerous aspects, as well as only appearing in late-game missions – a period of progression where players are expected to have strong melee units. It's almost guaranteed that you'll be able to easily deal with Crooked even if it has a high level in some mission.

Trivia

  • For a long time, Crooked could only be encountered through the death of Willy. This only changed with the introduction of Harvest Day, in which it appears as one of the enemies.
    • Crooked was the first ever zombie to be "hidden" behind the death of a specific unit. It was the only zombie of this nature in the game, up until the release of version 3.3.0 which added Abby and EMT.
    • Crooked appeared in regular missions for the first time only after the expansion of stage 8 in update 4.1.0.
  • Internally, Crooked is referred to as "Heavyguard".
