Special Offers

From Dead Ahead Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

The game provides multiple special offers for players to purchase, some of which are available at Trader. These offers include coin packs, money packs, event tickets, skin packs, and unit packs.

Limited Offers

Limited offers are special packs and sales that are available for a limited time of 24 hours. If players haven't purchased the offered pack, a new one will become available again after 16 hours. The 16 hours cooldown before a pack keeps running on the background, which means that if an update adds a new pack it won't instantly show up.

Unit Packs

Unit packs reward the player with an exclusive unit, which doesn't appear in the unit table (unless it's on sale or is already purchased), as well as a number of cases and coins, and even bus paints in some cases.

Once a pack is purchased, the next pack in rotation will be instantly showed and the already purchased pack won't be offered again. This makes packs for every player be different, plus they also show up based on the time the player first opened their game (every player's pack offer won't be at the same time).

Packs have different categories. Internally they are separated in:

Label Pack Name
Conversion 1. Jailer (Discount)
Tier 1 1. Jailer
2. Agents
Tier 2 1. Heist
2. Specops
Tier 3 1. TMF
2. Circus
3. Scientists

By default the game will cycle packs like so (time limit and cooldown based):

  • Jailer (Discount), Jailer,Agents,Heist, Specops, TMF, Circus, Scientists.

It cycles as follow:

  1. Conversion.
  2. Tier 1, entirely from top to bottom.
  3. Tier 2, entirely from top to bottom.
  4. Tier 3, entirely from top to bottom.

If you instead force the cycle (by buying a pack instead), it will cycle like so:

  • Jailer, Heist, TMF, Circus, Scientists, Agent, Specops.

It cycles as follow:

  1. Tier 1, one pack.
  2. Tier 2, one pack.
  3. Tier 3. from top to bottom.
  4. Tier 1, one pack.
  5. Tier 2, one pack.

Safe

A full safe with 2500 coins.

The safe is a special shop feature that allows players to purchase coins at a hefty discount compared to buying coin packs.

The safe starts out empty. Every time coins are earned, whether by completing missions or winning skirmish matches, four times the amount earned will be added to the safe. Once the safe reaches a certain threshold, it can be opened for 49 money, which gives all coins contained inside.

The safe is only capable of storing a certain amount of coins. Each time the safe is purchased, it will level up, which increases the maximum amount of coins it can carry:

  • Level 1 - 1500 max coins
  • Level 2 - 2900 max coins
  • Level 3 - 3700 max coins
  • Level 4 - 4300 max coins
  • Level 5 - 4700 max coins
  • Level 6 - 5100 max coins
  • Level 7 - 5400 max coins
  • Level 8 - 5700 max coins
  • Level 9 - 5900 max coins
  • Level 10 - 6000 max coins

Tip: Finishing supply runs will also add coins to the safe, and through this method it is possible to fill up the safe rapidly. This makes it one of the fastest ways to earn coins, provided you have the money to purchase it every time it becomes full. Nevertheless, as money has better uses (such as getting Austin, a unit who can farm around a thousand per mission under desirable circumstances), it is recommended not to buy the safe at all until the necessary purchases have been made.

A special section of Trader's shop will be open during exclusive annual events. The shop will display the highly-coveted event items, such as the new unit(s), bus paint, and skins. To earn them, players must purchase the event-exclusive cases with their respective collectible items earned in limited amounts through event gameplay. These collectibles are also sold in packs of varying amounts for money.

The shop will be open for 16 days, lasting two days longer than the event itself, to give players more than enough time to make some final purchases.

Trivia

  • Before SWAT Bundle had Swat included in it, players could occasionally get this offer even if they've purchased all TMF members with coins.
    • According to devs, that used to happen because the game also checked whenever coins and military kits from the bundle were obtained or not.
  • The highest amount of coins that can be added to the safe at once is 648, by completing any of Stage 6 challenges for the first time and with three stars.
Safe sprite appearance prior to update 2.8.2
  • Before update 2.8.2, the safe used to have a different sprite. It also previously cost 50 money to open.
    • It also used to only hold a maximum of 1200 coins for the same price.
