Northerners is one of the teams present in DA:ZW. It's themed around stereotypical image of people living in Canada and northern US, and includes multiple cosplays of characters associated with these regions.

Synergies

The Northerners team power centralizes on the power of critical hits to decimate enemies. The desirable crit-related powers granted by this synergy is limited to team members only, but most will greatly benefit from delivering more damage whenever possible, and some more than others.

Tier 1 (2 units)

With this synergy, after killing an enemy, a Northerner's next attack will be a guaranteed crit. It affects both melee and normal attacks on ranged units.

This power affects Flannel Carol by making her always charge into new targets, even if they stand very close to her.

If Lester has his special unlocked, the crits provided by the synergy will all be the special crits.

Tier 2 (3 units)

While this synergy is active, all freshly spawned Notherners will be guaranteed to do a crit on their first attack.

All gimmicks of 2/2 tier related to Lester and Flannel Carol also apply to them in 3/3.

Tier 3 (5 units)

With this synergy, when any unit that costs 21+ courage comes out of the bus, 15% of their price is returned as a bonus. The return value gets rounded up:

  • 21-24 – 3 points;
  • 25-29 – 4 points;
  • 30-39 – 5 points;
  • 40 – 6 points.

The real summon prices of units don't change.

The power has no interaction with units that cost rage to deploy.

Notes

  • Northerners are currently one of the few teams for which you can acquire 5 members without having to spend Cash.png or classs=pixelated. They are also the only team where it's possible to get 5 members without spending Coins.png on unit unlocks.
    • It should be mentioned that most options related to the above facts are mediocre and don't synergize together very well. Instead, it's better to take advantage of Northerner's availability by making a 2/2 or a 3/3 deck with them.

  • Currently, Northerners have the highest number of units in their roster out of all teams: 9.
