Military (Item Set)

Military is an mid-to-late game item set. It consists of military-issued equipment for soldiers of an armed forces.

Items

Military items are available in Epic and Legendary qualities. The set includes the following items:

Set Bonus

With this set, there's a 30% chance that a ranged unit will fire two ranged attacks during the same attack frame. In case of shotgunners, the game runs a check for each individual pellet of a shot. These shots can get affected by random spread differently.

This set only works with ranged units, and won't affect Private Rodriguez's knife throw. This set works with Willy's stun gun, Flamethrower's pyre and Dr. Norman's nitrogen fumes. Flamethrower and Dr. Norman's secondary particles are bugged: they turn invisible and gain infinite range.

Abby's minigun has a special interaction with Military's bonus. If it triggers, then it won't release two bullets in a single shot. Instead, it will make Abby fire an extra bullet after the shot that triggered the effect.

Analysis

This set can work well on just about any shooter and shotgunner, since it allows them to capitalize on crowd control capabilities. It is also the best choice for the latter class, since their range is too low to consistently get meaningful benefits from Hunter.

Military technically overshadows SwissMade and sometimes Hunter in terms of total damage output, although the consistent boost of single hits might be more desirable depending on the mission or the rest of your deck. Hunter also supersedes Military on sniper units, since it provides gradually higher benefits to them. Military is also a poor choice for support units, since they tend to have slow attack speed.
