Builder (Item Set)

Builder is a mid-to-late game item set. It consists of items that would be used by construction workers.

Items

Builder items are available in Rare and Epic quality. The set includes following items:

	Cup	Knife	Watch	Book
Sprite
Name	Lunch Flask	Screwdriver	Shock Watch	Safety Guide

Set Bonus

This set provides a 25% chance of blocking incoming damage to a unit. This applies to all types of damage, including debuff ticks from fire and poison. Whenever the set effect triggers, a dodge icon can be seen on the unit for a second.

Analysis

While this set can be powerful whenever it triggers, it is held back by its low trigger rate and lack of a legendary rarity. Nonetheless, the ability to ignore damage can be useful on support units such as Medic and Nancy, who would not benefit from most sets otherwise. It can also be useful on heavyweight units as a complement to their high survivability, allowing them to last even longer in some battles.

Builder is comparable to sets such as Lucky Guy and Scout which also serve a defensive purpose. However, these sets are more consistent and also have a legendary version. Nonetheless, Builder can fill a certain niche by providing an entirely passive bonus. Compared to it, Scout requires the wearer to kill enemies in order to become protected, and Lucky Guy can only activate a limited number of times.

Despite all of its downsides, this set has high potential in Skirmish. Since Builder's damage blocking can activate multiple times with no limit, it can be given to tanky units so that they can act as damage sponges and eventually outlast the opponents' attackers.
